Stained glass windows signed Gabriel and Louis Gesta. Gabriel and Louis Gesta are the sons of Louis-Victor Gesta (1828-1894), a Toulouse master glassmaker recognized well beyond the pink city and who produced more than 8,500 stained glass windows, most of them religious. A glass painter of undeniable talent, he founded the Gesta stained glass factory in Toulouse, which quickly became a real success. When he died, his three sons: Henri Louis-Victor, Louis (1866-1938) and Gabriel (1862-? ) could not get along, the eldest kept the workshop of the master glassmaker father while Louis and Gabriel set up shop at 17 rue de la Balance.
Period late nineteenth – early twentieth.
