“Frédéric Charrière is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable manufacturers of medical instruments of the 19th century. He was particularly able to adapt his craftsmanship to the development of advances in surgery by its technicality, by a requirement of quality, the taste of a high finish by adding a permanent aesthetic research. This is what makes his instruments still highly regarded today for their quality, ingenuity and beauty. The fabulous fame of the French surgical industry in the 19th century owes everything to him. ” Source ASPAD
