Jacques Bouyssou (1926-1997)
studied at the School of Architecture of Fine Arts in Troyes. Installed in Paris, he became a student of Othon Friesz and Lucien Simon at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. His talent as a painter was recognized, and his first exhibition took place in London in 1955. In 1961, he debuted at the Salon de la Marine. In 1973, Bouyssou was named “official painter of the French Navy”.
His works are kept at the Musée de la Marine in Paris.
