Charles-Nicolas Cochin, dit Charles-Nicolas Cochin fils pour le distinguer de son père, est né en 1715 à Paris où il est mort en 1790. Engraver, draftsman but also writer, he was also Ordonnateur des Beaux-Arts and secretary-historiographer of the Royal Academy.
