Large ivory Christ work of the Dieppe school
Very nice work of sculpture: expressive face, very beautiful anatomy, the hands and feet are very delicate. The crown of thorns, which is removable (this is relatively rare) is of great finesse.
This Christ is the work of a sculptor to differentiate from the workshop work done in series.
A note: missing at the end of the index and middle fingers of the right hand.
