Léon Tanzi 1846-1913
Student at the Académie Julian in Paris under William Bouguereau (1825-1905), Jules Lefebvre (1834-1912) and Benjamin-Constant (1845-1902), Léon Tanzi worked in the Tarn and began at the Salon in 1877 with genre scenes in the Orientalist style, landscapes and portraits. His female subjects come from symbolism.
