“Onion” vase in glass paste with decoration cleared with acid, art nouveau, Nancy early twentieth. Soliflore with swollen body and long tapered neck on heel. Proof produced in multilayer glass with a lightly granite red, ocher and lime green background, the central decoration released with acid and enamelled in red and gold, with a composition of thistles, a recurring motif in Art Nouveau imagery. Signed on the side of the vase “DAUM NANCY” with the cross of Lorraine, the signature allows us to date the vase from the years 1904-1914.
